Description
Liatris spicata, also known as marsh blazing star is a perennial wildflower native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 5 feet tall and flowers from July to September with a purple blossom.
It prefers full sun to partial shade, medium to wet soil and will grow in muck, clay or loam.
Marsh blazing star can be found in our Shoreline Garden Kit because it both stabilizes the soil and attracts native butterflies and pollinators.
