Senna hebecarpa, also known as wild senna is a perennial wildflower native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 5 feet tall and flowers from July to August with a yellow blossom.
It prefers full sun to partial shade, medium to wet soil and will grow in clay, loam or sand.
