Phlox pilosa, also kown as prairie phlox.
This perennial wildflower is native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 2 feet tall and flowers from May to July with a pink blossom.
It prefers full to partial sun, medium to dry soil and will grow in clay, loam or sand.
